Examinando las Propiedades Psicométricas del Cuestionario de Identidad Transgénero en Residentes de Puerto Rico: Un Análisis Preliminar

Resumen

La comunidad transgénero (trans) en Puerto Rico ha sido históricamente abordada según el binario del género. Las personas trans que persiguen estos paradigmas binarios podrían experimentar transfobia internalizada. Los objetivos del estudio son: (1) examinar las propiedades psicométricas del Cuestionario de Identidad Transgénero (CIT) traducido al castellano y, (2) evaluar la estructura factorial del instrumento. La muestra consistió en 58 personas trans. Se llevó a cabo un análisis de discriminación utilizando la correlación punto-biserial. Se obtuvo el alfa de Cronbach para el CIT de .88. Se realizó un análisis confirmatorio de factores para evaluar la estructura original del CIT. Los resultados no mostraron un buen ajuste, por lo que se propone un modelo alterno de tres factores con un mejor ajuste del modelo χ2 = 132.9, RMSEA = .175, SRMR = .0908, CFI = .89 y TLI = .91. Finalmente, se presentan los hallazgos preliminares, limitaciones y aportaciones de la investigación.
