Los Beneficios de las Experiencias Laborales en Jóvenes Adultos/as con Autismo para su Inclusión Social: Revisión de Literatura Sistemática

Resumen

Este trabajo busca identificar los beneficios de la experiencia laboral en jóvenes adultos con diagnóstico de TEA y conocer cómo el trabajar con las habilidades sociales y vocacionales de estos jóvenes adultos/a los puede ayudar a la inclusión social. Por lo que se realizó una revisión de literatura sistemática, que culminó con un total de 11 artículos, que fueron cernidos dejándose llevar por las siguientes características de inclusión:  que el tema del estudio fuera acorde a la investigación, que incluyera jóvenes adultos (18 - 26 años) con el diagnóstico de trastorno del espectro autista (TEA), que no fueran revisiones literarias, que fueran  publicaciones entre los años 2015 al 2020, de revistas académicas arbitradas por pares, de cualquier país y que fueran escritos en los idiomas inglés o español. Luego de realizar la revisión de literatura sistemática se encontró que las experiencias laborales pueden tener beneficios terapéuticos, mejorando el comportamiento adaptativo en el empleo, aumentando la autoeficacia social, cognición social y habilidades sociales en los jóvenes adultos con TEA. También, encontramos que las experiencias laborales pueden ayudar a la independencia de los jóvenes adultos con TEA. Además, identificamos estrategias que pueden ayudar a trabajar las habilidades sociales y vocacionales de esta población, como, por ejemplo, el video modelaje y el programa ACCESS (Adolescent curriculum for communication and effective social skills). En conclusión, brindándole experiencias laborales a los jóvenes con TEA, no solo les ofrece beneficios terapéuticos, si no que los ayuda a obtener independencia.
