We engage in a dialogue in which both Evidence-Based Treatments (EBT) and Evidence-Based Practice in Psychology (EBPP) are grounded in a system of intelligibility that supports the claims of the effectiveness of psychological treatments. We establish differences between concepts and their possible merits. These approaches are fundamental for the development of psychotherapy in Puerto Rico,
